REMOVE SARS-COV-2 TEST REQUIREMENT FROM 00:00, 15 May 2022

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam signed Official Telegram 416/CD-TTg on 13 May 2022 of the Prime Minister on the suspension of the requirement to be tested for SARS-CoV-2 virus before entering Vietnam. Temporarily suspending the requirement to be tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus before entering Vietnam from 00:00 on May 15, 2022. All previous visa restrictions have been removed. For any questions about Vietnam visas, temporary residence, customs procedures and immigration, please contact the competent immigration authority of Vietnam.

BILATERAL EXEMPTION OF ENTRY VISA

Vietnam has signed visa exemption agreements with 90 countries, including 02 agreements with Namibia and Ethiopia that have not yet taken effect.

UNILATERAL EXEMPTION OF ENTRY VISA

Vietnam unilaterally exempts visas for citizens of 13 countries: Russia, Japan, Korea, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy. Belarus and for officials of the ASEAN Secretariat with a stay of not more than 15 days, if the following conditions are met:

  • Have a valid passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.
  • The time of entry must be at least 30 days from the time of exit under the previous visa exemption category.
